WEEK 1 TOPIC: NEW LIFE- COLOSSIANS 3:1-17
TODAY’S TOPIC: KEEP YOUR MIND FIXED-COLOSSIAN 3:1-4
Since we have been raised with Christ Jesus. Since you have confessed your sin to Jesus Christ and forsake your sins and have also accepted him as your Lord and personal savior, you are to concentrate more on the heavenly things i.e make heaven your priority.
This does not mean that you should not be educated, work or do the right thing in the world but what it simply means is to focus more on you heavenly race, putting God first in everything you do.
The scripture also tell us as a Christian to work so you should not you are not to use spiritual life as an excuse not to work or do the right thing you are expected to do and also for no reason should anything affect your SPIRITUAL LIFE.
NOTE: Your spiritual life should determine your all; WORK, MOVEMENT everything about you. There are some jobs that as Christians you are not suppose to do such as what they call YAHOO, BLOGGING (POSTING NAKED PEOPLE PICTURE, PORN ON OTHER PEOPLE SOCIAL NETWORK ACCOUNT) what such person is doing is prompting pornography. Luke 17:1 says “SIN IS BORN TO COME BUT WOE UNTO WHICH IT COMES FROM”. You can be involve in blogging but make sure it glorifies GOD, you can post news, Gospel Message, Academic Articles rather than assisting people to commit sin.
FFT: Fix your mind on things above simply means you make GOD first in your day to day activity.
